Welcome to the Latina History Project
The LHP is a faculty-student digital humanities collaborative that provides archival and educational resources on Chicana/Latina feminism and activism in Texas since the 1960s.
While the project began with the goal of digitizing the “Rostros y Almas/Faces and Souls” exhibit on local Tejanas, it has grown to encompass the broader mission of enhancing understandings of Latina/x and Chicana/x history with an emphasis on inclusive learning and intergenerational knowledge transmission. The LHP includes a collection of oral histories and digitized archival documents from community activists and scholars, including key figures in the Chicana/o Movement in Texas.
